Sumbul Meraj, MD, attended Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and received her medical degree in 2002. Then, she relocated to the United States, where she served her internal medicine residency at The University of Illinois College of Medicine. In addition, she completed her fellowship training in infectious disease medicine at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. Furthermore, Dr. Meraj received board certification in internal medicine and infectious disease medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. She remains an active member of the American College of Physicians. She dedicates her spare time to writing poetry, reading, singing, traveling, as well as art and literature.
